The sub group of the partnership includes many organisations that work with and for the benefit of young people of Congleton. They include representatives from the partnership itself, Congleton Town Council, Bromley Farm Community Development Trust, Plus Dane Group, Congleton Community Projects, Cheshire East Council, both local high schools, Visyon and New Life Church.
The general aims of the forum focus on young people aged 11-25, look at current provision and whether it is fit for purpose, identify gaps in provision and work together to address these, promote the good work of partners and young people, be proactive and act as a sounding board and a facilitator for young people to approach and raise issues and be a route to disseminate information.
A number of gaps in provision and issues have been identified, namely drugs and the lack of services, sexual health and the lack of services, youth groups and the awareness and suitability of existing offers, communications and the lack of connectivity, housing and jobs market and the lack of local opportunities.
Following this workshop six key themes were identified which matched up fairly well with the survey results of the Youth Committee of Congleton Town Council for us to concentrate on. These are Communication, Sexual Health and Drugs, Housing, Employment, Leisure and Transport. These are the areas the forum will concentrate on in the future.

The process of creating this report began in the winter of 2013. It continues to be the aim of Congleton Youth Council to explore the issues and services most important to young people and those which were felt lacking. It is hoped that this report, which contains the views and opinions of 760 young people living, schooling or working in Congleton, will comprehensively classify what young people perceive as the positives and negatives of living in Congleton.

Bromley Farm Youth Club in Bloom 2014
The Bromley Farm Youth Club are very grateful for the support of Congleton Partnership.B romley Farm Community Development Trust entered the North West in Bloom Neighbourhood competition for 2014 funded by the Congleton Partnership. The funding was an initiative of Congleton Youth Forum to actively encourage young people to get involved in the town’s In Bloom efforts.
All involved agree it was a worthwhile investment as 30 young people were involved during the spring and summer to produce a display that the North West in Bloom judges were very complimentary of. The fundingenabled young people from Bromley Farm to highlight the community and young people involvement in the town’s entry into the large town section of the North West in Bloom and Britain in Bloom competitions.
Young people have got directly involved in the design, planting and maintenance of the floral displays. The funding has enabled the purchase of materials to plant up a range of hanging baskets, tubs and wire racks that have been positioned on and around the community centre building and to purchase items that has helped with the on-going maintenance including watering cans and some hand tools.
