Dear Ann and Robbie Brightwell
Thank you for the enormous excitement of Tokyo, back in ’64.
I have long remembered how Ann came wide off the bend in the
800m. It was a moment of pure joy. Robbie’s final sprint,
with falling finish, to snatch the silver in the relay was
equally memorable. Great determination shown by you both.
Good to hear that you continue so well engaged in Congleton.
Community can be just as engaging as celebrity. Do continue
to make every step count and to enjoy your local present as
much as your famous past.
